Real dogs. Real setbacks. Real progress.

Follow the whole story

I have made hundreds of individual how-to videos. But these series are different. Each one follows a real dog through a chapter of life, including the first days, the hard parts, and when things didn’t go according to plan.

Get to know each of these awesome dogs, and watch what training actually looked like from one episode to the next!

Puppy journeys

Start at the beginning

These series begin in the first days or weeks with a puppy. They do not hide the accidents, lost sleep, biting, distraction, or uncertainty that make early training feel so intense.

The Dog Training Experience

Inertia

Inertia is my own Border Collie, so this is the longest and most personal story here. Follow her from eight weeks old through all the basics, public training, reactivity, and advanced skills.

Good place to start for: the full puppy-to-adult journey, socialization, leash skills, recall, barking, being alone, and realistic setbacks.

Kona being held outdoors

New Puppy Survival Guide

Kona

This a perfect focused puppy-start series. You will see the basics, the mistakes, and everything that worked along the way.

Good place to start for: the first 24 hours, biting, house training, chewing, recall, barking, calm behavior, grooming, and distractions.

BISCUITS

Reality Dog Training

Biscuits

Biscuits is the puppy to start with if biting, chewing, potty accidents, or keeping interactions with children and other animals safe is taking over your day.

Good place to start for: first skills, recall, house training, biting, chewing, snapping, leash walking, and family safety.

Veronica during her puppy training series

Training Our New Puppy From Day 1

Veronica

Veronica became part of our family, so this story continues through ordinary life, travel, outdoor challenges, and changing environments long after the first day.

Good place to start for: adoption, sleep, barking, biting, confidence, recall, off-leash foundations, travel, and being alone.

Shade the Cane Corso puppy

Ultimate Puppy Survival Guide

Shade

Shade is a Cane Corso puppy, and this is the most compact recent puppy-survival series. It starts before day one and moves into real-world foundation skills.

Good place to start for: preparing the home, the first night, crate training, dog introductions, house training, recall, walks, and busy places.

Real-world challenges

Big dogs, big feelings, changing plans

These stories show what I do when a dog is strong, reactive, overwhelmed, overexcited, or simply not responding to the plan I expected to use.

Moira the German Shepherd

Reality Dog Training

Moira

Moira is a powerful German Shepherd with a lot to work through in two weeks. This series is especially useful if barking, lunging, jumping, mouthing, or a difficult walk is making daily life feel impossible.

Good place to start for: reactivity, public outings, biting, jumping, barking at dogs, chasing or attacking birds and wildlife, and seeing how much can and cannot change in a short period.

George the pit bull outdoors

Reality Dog Training

George

George is strong, social, and definitely NOT interested in following a neat script. His story shows leash work, rough play, changing the plan, and sessions that do not work the first time.

Good place to start for: leash pulling, dog-to-dog play, attention, heel, off-leash foundations, and learning when to adjust.

Chop during his Reality Dog Training series

Reality Dog Training

Chop

Chop is a big, strong, wild Alaskan dog, and he could be genuinely difficult to manage. Follow the work we did on leash pulling, settling indoors, barking at dogs, and resource guarding to see everything that Chop learned!

Good place to start for: severe pulling, dog introductions, reactivity, resource guarding, settling, and reward-based work with a powerful dog.

Zak training Wallace the Malinois outdoors

Dog Training Revolution

Wallace

Wallace is a young Malinois – a breed with serious energy and drive. We showed you how to give that intensity somewhere useful to go while building trust, attention, calmer walks, household skills, and better choices.

Good place to start for: high drive, building trust, attention, leave it, barking, destruction, recall, walks, reactivity, and training when food is not working.
