What’s wrong with “less lethal”?
Well first of all, it asks us to compare this violence with killing Marcus Evans, instead of asking whether it was justified at all.
Evans came outside with his hands raised.
When he refused to walk backward, @sandiegopd fired three beanbag rounds and deployed two dogs; one bit him for about 40 seconds.
The city (taxpayers) paid Evans $875,000… But none of the officers involved faced criminal liability.
Does “less lethal” make this justified?
