Who protects police dogs from police?

The department supplied the food, but Apollo STILL starved to death, and Knox was seriously injured.

Their former handler, Derrick Durall of Dexter, Missouri, claimed he “hadn’t noticed” Apollo’s health declining… even though Apollo had reportedly lost 25 lbs.

A department that places dogs into an officer’s “care” owes them protection – including from their handler.

I want dogs out of policing. Their lives should never be reduced to what the state can use them for. Please share this if you agree!

What do you think? Should police be allowed to use dogs at all?
